Application Process:
-If you have not already done so, text NRVRJ to 97211 to get started. Once you answer the automated questions, you will be added to our list for officer testing.

The NRVRJ Aplication Fillable document can be saved to your computer and then attached to an email and sent directly to Human Resources.
Once completed submit the downloaded application via email to Human Resources, by mail at New River Valley Regional Jail P. O. Box 1067 Dublin, VA 24084, or by fax 540-643-2010.
Testing Process:
All applicants will go through a written and agility test.
-The written test consists of grammar, vocabulary, and simple math. You will have 40 minutes to complete the test, and will be supplied a calculator for your convenience. You must pass the written test with a 70% or better to move on to the physical agility test.
-The agility test consists of one lap through an obstacle course that is to be completed in less than a minute.

Job Application Process:
First, you must text NRVRJ to 97211 to be added to an officer testing date. Once you have selected a date, we will add you to the testing pool for that day and send you a reminder text two days prior to testing. At this point, you MUST confirm via email to Human Resources or call 540-643-2000 ext. 2237 to confirm your spot.
